Arts/Dance: The Wampanoag Nation Singers and Dancers, November 27

Join Wampanoag Nation singers and dancers in celebration of the harvest season and American Indian culture. This narrated presentation featuring traditional clothing, music from handcrafted instruments, and social songs and dances will get everyone in the family up on their feet!

To make a reservation, please call 617.514.1644 or e-mail JFKcelebrate@nara.gov.  Include your name, the number in your party, and your contact information.  All school groups (including nursery schools, day care centers and scouting groups) are welcome, but it is essential for the group leader to call one week in advance, Monday to Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m, and speak to a Kennedy Library staff member to ensure adequate seating.

Space is available on a first-come, first-serve basis.  Small children can be seated on a carpeted floor with their caretaker.  As some programs may be ticketed, reservations are now required for all visitors to this program.

Journalists Ryan Lizza of The New Yorker and Richard Wolffe of Newsweek and author of Renegade: The Making of a President, analyze the media's coverage of President Obama's first year in office.  Commentator Callie Crossley of WGBH's Beat the Press moderates.

All forums are free and open to the public. Reservations are recommended. Reservations guarantee a seat in the building, but not the main hall. Doors to the main hall open one hour before the program begins. You may make resevations for upcoming forums by using the online registration offered by this website. You may also make reservations or check if speakers' schedules have changed by calling 617.514.1643.

This one-day conference – sponsored by the nation’s 13 Presidential Libraries – will examine how the Presidency and U.S. foreign policy have been reshaped by the advent, use and spread of nuclear weapons.  Morning sessions are The Race to Build the Bomb and the Decision to Use it (9:00 to 10:25 a.m.) featuring Richard Rhodes, Wilson D. Miscamble and Jennet Conant; and, Cuban Missile Crisis and the First Nuclear Test Ban Treaty (10:50 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.) featuringTed Sorensen, Carl Kaysen and Graham Allison. Afternoon sessions are The Cold War and the Nuclear Arms Race (1:20 to 2:30 p.m.) featuring Kenneth Adelman, Thomas Graham, Jr., Richard Rhodes, Nicholas Thompson and Marvin Kalb; and, Nuclear Weapons, Terrorism and the Presidency (2:45 to 4:00 p.m.) with Graham Allison, Stephen Bosworth, Nicholas BurnsLeslie Gelb and Martha Raddatz.
